Social events are also run throughout the
year including an after camp reunion and a Christmas party.
There are also many unofficial parties throughout the year and
a volunteers only weekend so that you can keep in contact with
all the great new friends you will make on the holidays.

Holidays are not the only way to get involved
with BYV. Although our main aim is to provide holidays, BYV
requires considerable time and effort in order to raise money
and organise our activities. A number of roles are carried out
on committee with volunteers
responsible for kids, volunteers, equipment, transport,
fundraising, social activities etc. You do not have to be on
the committee to get get involved in our fundraising
activities or to help out in any of the aforementioned roles.
We meet regularly in our offices in Digbeth, so you can come
along and get an idea of how we work. If you feel you may have
some time, or skills to offer BYV please do not hesitate to
send us an email.
S o now that
you have an idea of what is involved, go on and apply ! !

Please note that in order to cover growing administration
costs associated with processing CRB checks, training, transport
accomodation etc, we have recently introduced an
annual administration fee of £10.00. As a charitable organisation we
still believe this represents only a minor amount of the cost we incur for
each potential volunteer. To of fset this, why not raise donations
from friends and family via sponsorship to cover this and maybe
more? |
