We are a voluntary
organisation based in Birmingham whose aim is to provide
adventure holidays for over 200 children each year. The
charity runs a number of weeklong holidays through
the summer and a programme of weekend holidays during the rest
of the year. Many
volunteers take part in a number of these and a large number
of volunteers return year to year.
Over the years
Adventure Camps has built up a wealth of experience through
our charity work and have earned an excellent reputation with
those who refer children to us - Social Services, Community
Groups, Schools and other caring organisations and charities.
Many of these continue to refer children to our organisation
year after year.
In addition to our weekend breaks, the
charity organises two types of holidays:- residential for the
younger children and camping weeks for those over 10 years of
age. For some children this is their first time away from home
and they can't wait to return. Take a look at the types of
camps our volunteers run by clicking on the links to the
left and don't hesitate to contact us if you are
interested in volunteering or would like more information
about our work.
Please go to the events section of this website for the next
committee meeting. You need to come along if you are an old or
new volunteer and need your CRB form checking and signing.
Please also come along if you wish get more involved in BYV
outside of the holiday season, we are always appreciative of
people's support. Forthcoming social activities are also
included on the events page. |
